Nostalgia & Moving On

Due to severe boredom and a stroke of luck, I came across old videos of The Power Rangers on youtube. Really brings back good ol' memories spending the weekends, sometimes with my cousins in Malacca watching these every week. The craze of buying the tapes and toys.....and roleplaying without a care in the world..gawd i feel old.

Whats even more nostalgic..the theme song lolololol...for those who grew up watching the show...

Now comes the topic of moving on. I have been playing magic for over a decade but only been involve in competitive scene only recently. I went for my first nationals this year, and it's been great. The change in environment, meeting and playing with seasoned professionals has been an eye opener to say the least. There is a desire now to improve myself and bring myself to a higher level. No longer I can play for fun, or do something that rarely been done. I now play to win. Losing is not easy to take.

However, not all my mates see my viewpoint. Perhaps KV was right, it's time to venture out of my comfort zone. But this can only be achieved only when I am able to start work though. Funding for cards of my own and investment into MTGO would take some time. As for now, nationals is over and there is a year to look ahead. Here's to a more successful MTG career.

It's Bowlin' Time

So Sunday was spent sleeping like a log for most of the day except for getting up to eat, drink, facebook and read the papers. Why can't the The Star be more like The Sun (UK) and don't suck? I need my gossips and news..not bloody BN taking half the paper.

Once night fell, its off to Summit for some bowling action....that is till some bowling group decided to book the whole thing and leave the scrappy lanes with a long waiting list. Bummer.

Oh well, Piramid Bowl next. Ack! It was a tad pricey but what can a man do? Bloody arses who took the Summit Bowl.

And let the games begin! 2 rounds. 4 men. And gawd do I suck bad. Need more practice....At least there is something to do on a Sunday night.

Hitlist 101 - Deadman

This is all about some stupid Malaysian drivers.

Another normal weekend of card slinging today at summit. All was good till dinner. As we went of separate ways.....a f**ktard of a driver decided to rear end ZP's car. Who in their right mind would stop to let us through then decide to press the accelerator? You're coming into the main road moron, so know your role. Any car coming into a junction into the main road should give way first, not barge their way through.

Not this arsehole. Even worse? He ran off. Ohh this isn't over. I pray karma has mercy on your soul, you b*****d. Car owner of a classic mercedez, with rounded headlights bearing the number plate WET 5544, colored either in black or dark blue...you're a deadman if I see you again.

Driver description? Indian man in his late 30's or early 40's, with balding head, striped horizontal polo t-shirt, with loaded accesories...watch your back. Final destination~

Hopefully no more shit like this anymore. Cheers

It was raining..

When I got in the house. Drenched. The wooden furnishings brought a sense of familiarity out from the cold moments ago. Certainly brought a chill as I clasped my hand together, warming them. I placed my coat on the hanger. I headed up the stairs, looking a fresh change of clothes.

And there she was. A bemused look on her face. She opened the cupboard, showing neatly folded clothes seemingly separated, prepared for certain occasions. As she handed me a clean pair of t-shirt, a shout came from below. "Oi! Fasterla!". I can see that two of my best buds have arrived, certainly excited for the occasion. As I was going down the stairs, the sound of a motorcycle revving up came from the outside. I glanced to have a look...

Darkness.

Wat the..? Wham. Looking around, the only light illuminating the room is from the backdoor neighbour. My room. Motorcycle sound? That was just the routine patrol guards, doing their rounds around the neighbourhood. Back to reality. Certainly a weird dream that I did not expect from an evening nap. Nor did the time, as it was past 8pm...hmmm 3 hours of sleep...kinda explains it. What is more intriguing is that I can't see the faces of those in the dream. Oh well, I had worse. Why can't I have a proper dream where I'm seeing the world, having Bill Gates as my personal slave and Megan Fox as my wife? Emma Watson would do as well. *grins*

Must be due to classes starting this week. And my lack of football to release stress. August can't come soon enough.

V for Vendetta

I'm a nasty person when it comes to certain things. Vengeful. Keeping a grudge. Ohh trust me.. I can keep a grudge for a very, very long time. Today's nasty topic comes from being stood up.

I hate being stood up for no good reason, and at the very last minute. *sharpens the butcher knife*

Don't you just hate it when someone misses a dinner arrangement, a simple meet-up session or yum cha? It's fine when there is a replied sms or short call informing can't make it for whatever reason. It's the no reply whatsoever which revenge must be swift...and it must be righteous. Well in this case meaning either screwing the fellow back...or keeping tabs.

Strike 1.

2 More and its payback time. 30 fold. You get the message. Being mean never felt so good.

Hulu Langat Waterfall

2 Cars. 8 people. 1 day of fun filled adventure.

Sorry no pictures since scenes of half naked men with rock hard nipples would kill your eyes and brain cells. I'm not kidding. *grins*

Trip started by meeting up at Asia Cafe for breakfast at 9am.....or so it seems since by the time we gathered and finished breakfast it was reaching 11am. CH was driving the 1st car, with Hizi, ST and myself as passengers - the Fun-V leading the way. Following was in the Royal Rush was TK, ZP, J and PS. Although the trip took approximately an hour, it didn't seem that way with all the talking even missing a turning - but we got there. Said it before, we believe in your car CH!

Upon reaching our destination, with excitement and a sense of adventure we marched through the Two Towers, although the Two Towers consist of friendly kampung folks collecting rm1 for the entry fee and the place to buy junk food before proceeding to the falls. CH was warning us that it would take a hike up to get to the falls. Ohh we just laughed it off beforehand. How wrong it were.....the hike up was gruelling......at least to some of us that are unfit and severely lacking exercise. Geekdom babe geekdom.

After hiking up the Hill of I Told You To Exercise, the fun started. Jumping into the cold, icy water was really refreshing after a long drive. It was convenient as well that the rock formation there was shaped like a natural slide so sliding into the water was pretty fun. Piggybacking someone is fun as long you don't hit any rocks. Some of the people there love a sausage party, lining up in a train formation and going down that same slide. Not a nice sight seeing men do that. The ladies one was fun though. Wet t-shirts abound.

After getting wasted playing with the water, had a stop for lunch. To those of you camwhores you're lucky your pictures aren't here. *grins* Even had a time to do some beaver work, moving some rocks to facilitate more water flow due to the stagnant water there. That's the only negative of the waterfall though. By the way, Santa Clause was cheered for jumping off the waterfall 3 times. Awesome. *just an old dude with really cool looking beard*

A switch of drivers for dinner with J and ZP driving, we headed to murni where the group is clearly knackered. A few large orders, full stomachs, aching limbs and satisfaction from a successful trip we headed home.

An unforgetable Sunday. Next stop Penang.......sometime in the future.

Cheers

I'm Crying But You Can't See The Tears Cause I'm In The Rain

Dead tired. Pretty much sums it up after the trip to Hulu Langat to enjoy the waterfalls there. I'll tell more of the trip once I can get some pics of the trip.

As for the title post, it came up during an interesting dinner conversation when the bf of a 1 of our groupie couldn't comprehend a simple joke when Hizi answered the her phone. After the phone call, he simply went into an emotional state that clearly does not suit the mindset of a mature 22 year old. What bf would get all emotional when the gf is simply out having dinner with friends sharing friendly batter after a long day at the falls? Even after Hizi apologized, he took that apology as not sincere and a waste of time? Good lord how childish can you be? It would be appropriate to drill some maturity into that head but I should stop ranting here.

Grow up. Please.

Now for some crazy rhym to commemorate the enjoyable trip today..

Jalan jalan to Hulu Langat
See a lot of buah langsat
Thankfully not so hangat
But ayoyo why suddenly so padat?

Fuyoh air terjun sejuk sangat
Makan lunch ikut adat
Eh? kenapa masih ada lalat?
Ada juga rambutan diikat

Tengok batu berkilat-kilat
Berpantun tunjuk isi tersirat
Nasib baik tak kena jia lat
Next time don't have bf macam bangsat

The Half-Blood Prince

Went to watch the Half-Blood Prince today. Pretty good, loaded with lots of humor and teens bursting with hormones. Compared with the previous movie with has a darker theme, this installment gives a refreshing take based on funny moments and concentrates on the love stories of the characters. Don't want to give any spoilers to those who have not watched or read the book such as I. Overall an entertaining movie that does not have annoying characters such as those in Transformers 2.

Mind still having a block though with nothing really interesting to write as yet. Maybe if the plan for the weekend getaway with the boys is a success...if nothing goes wrong.

Sleep Spell

That's me. For the past 2 days. Overwhelmed by tiredness, with the weather not helping. Early morning rain coupled with cloudy conditions just makes it impossible to resist the temptation of sleep. With nothing to do on the comp, and Harry Potter only on the 16th..sleep only seems appropriate.

Yawnz.

Better posts once sleep spell is broken and hopefully a first glimpse into the Half-Blood Prince.

The Highlander

Remember Highlander? "There can be only one."

This rings true when outings with friends reaches a certain topic. The topic usually involves a person which gets ridiculed, gossiped and talked about by everyone but never wish to meet in person. I guess every clique or group would have this special person, but with my own group, I haven't meet any other person which would invoke such a negative response even though it's a first time meeting/outing. It's sad sometimes hearing all the comments and b*tching that happens but if Highlander-kun does nothing to change his attitude or at least try to improve himself I guess there is no chance for salvation.

My group usually have one thing in common, our love for the game of magic the gathering. The game have helped me meet new people, which most of them are the nicest blokes u can find. So with this regard, it's pretty awkward when Highlander-kun would persist in joining us during our gaming sessions but is unwilling or refuse to invest some money/time into the game. I mean it's pitiful to see him being left out of conversations due to lack of knowledge or topics that can relate to the group. A sudden cold joke in between or lame comment would simply turn the table silent.

Other instances would involve him persisting on doing other activities while the rest would rather chill or busy doing something else. Example? All of us was having dinner/chilling after a long day trying to catch up with things and during that same period, Highlander-kun continued to bug/persist to ask when are we going to the cybercafe. It's ok to ask once in a while but to continually bugging gets on everyone's nerves. I'm no exception.

So, if ya are reading this, improve yourself please. Patience does not last forever.

If anyone has any equally interesting story feel free to leave a comment. More stories later since this post has people tearing their eyes out for reading such a long rant... hoho.

Winds of Change

Maybe its just me getting old or rather my traditional values holding me back, but what on Earth happen to guys that are in relationships nowadays? This is only for what I'm seeing so far, not accounting for the majority of relationships out there but the men need to buck up...seriously! What happened to common courtesy? old fashion chivalry? Being on time? Come on, I'm not asking ya to get a coat to place in the mud so your lady can walk across but just some respect to minor details. Geez, no wonder there are so much breakups and divorces nowadays.

Ranting only applies to straights, so moving along....

Education.

Looking back, I was fortunate to having proper teachers in my day. With the political mess changing the structure of teaching from English to BM again in 3 years, good graces do you people really want to devolve into some jobless turd that can only work within this country due to your inadequate command of English? Well..makes sense since that's the only way the current government stays in power....by breeding nincompoops that follow orders or unable to think for themselves.

Don't want to rant to long, so anyone attending this weekend's prerelease of M10 all the best no matter which place ya go to. *pssst support Decards not Mike*

It has begun....

Started this blog out of sheer curiosity and utter boredom. I'm just hoping this would not turn into an addiction such as facebook......damn....

This blog is just an outlet to express my views on things and they might be out of the norm but with most things, take it with a grain of salt and a large sense of humor.

For those of you who know me feel free to blast away. For those who haven't...come on in...we going on fun filled adventure ....of ranting and gossiping...woohoooo~
