Lack of inactivity can be traced to a weekend of magic, assignments due....some not even mine but have been forced to help...nuuuuuuuuu...
Hmmm add to the fact EPL is in full swing....bloody astro for not showing the match and damn u Burnley!
Saving grace? The weekend is upon us and more magic and EPL woooo....
I'm going mad. And good luck to the boys in Bangkok. My cards get to go for a holiday while I'm here. Sucks.

Dust In the Wind
EPL season started with the Charity Shield last Sunday. Although the result was disappointing, was pleased with the way Manchester United performed except for Ben Foster and Evra when taking the spotkick.
Funny how the season starts this weekend yet there is no excitement, no anticipation..I wonder why....hopefully this lukewarm feeling goes away quick.
Anyone has bane slayer angels for sale/trade? XD
Just can't come up with an interesting topic to write. Hopefully something crops up soon.
Cheers

The Power of Love
The power of love is a curious thing
Make a one man weep, make another man sing
Change a hawk to a little white dove
More than a feeling that's the power of love
Recent observation of events got me thinking, is really love all powerful after all? Such is the obsession of Kerry Cantona with her on-off, divorce-back again husband Mark Croft, is it really worth it to get back with a partner that does not return the love back? A sense of deja vu dawned when a few friends exhibit similar traits, wanting to get back to their ex that clearly does not fancy them back or moved on. Loneliness or a sense of companionship is understandable but why go back when there is still unhappiness? Everyone gets that feeling but company at a cost of being treated like a rag doll isn't a price worth paying in my eyes. Might be tough at first, but is it really hard to move on? There is a whole ocean out there, much better than lingering in a stagnant pool. Why chase the rainbow when the thing you want most could be in front of you?
You dont need money, don't take fame
Don't need no credit card to ride this train
It's strong and it's sudden and it's cruel sometimes
But it might just save your life
That's the power of love
Now the other side of the love equation. Those who want it but do nothing to get it. Is it hard to admit to admit and talk about getting a companion? The saying, ' you won't win the lottery if you don't buy a ticket' holds true in this sense, asking a girl out is not as hard as it seems. Just a normal outing could lead to something more. How can you look for someone interesting if you can't be interesting yourself and take the lead? The whole point of a blind date is to find someone interesting and to spend time with, not looking for ms. compatible. If you can't be honest with yourself and unable to open up, how can you be honest and tell things to your future partner?
Money alone does not buy happiness. There is more to love than that.
Cheers

Rise of the Gossip Monger
One of my close friends mentioned that I should be working in Hollywood, covering latest celebrity news and gossips, getting the inside scoop as those featured in E! Not really out of the question considering that I'm quite interested in knowing the latest gossips of celebrities and those of my closest friends. But sadly, I have no experience working in the journalism department except for this blog. Maybe sometime in the future I suppose.
July has come and gone. August came with new vigor and anticipation. So far, August only brought more misery to my wallet it seems. Such a coincidence that most of the outings are taking place this month. Friends coming home from overseas, birthday celebrations and the best of it....EPL begins!!! Woooohoooo!!!! Manchester United!! Rooney!! *cough*And best not to forget the benefits of friends coming back..souvenirs!! *cough*
Not to forget my assignments due this month. Looks like it's gonna be month filled with fun, adventure and dread.
Cheers

Nostalgia & Moving On
Due to severe boredom and a stroke of luck, I came across old videos of The Power Rangers on youtube. Really brings back good ol' memories spending the weekends, sometimes with my cousins in Malacca watching these every week. The craze of buying the tapes and toys.....and roleplaying without a care in the world..gawd i feel old.
Whats even more nostalgic..the theme song lolololol...for those who grew up watching the show...
Now comes the topic of moving on. I have been playing magic for over a decade but only been involve in competitive scene only recently. I went for my first nationals this year, and it's been great. The change in environment, meeting and playing with seasoned professionals has been an eye opener to say the least. There is a desire now to improve myself and bring myself to a higher level. No longer I can play for fun, or do something that rarely been done. I now play to win. Losing is not easy to take.
However, not all my mates see my viewpoint. Perhaps KV was right, it's time to venture out of my comfort zone. But this can only be achieved only when I am able to start work though. Funding for cards of my own and investment into MTGO would take some time. As for now, nationals is over and there is a year to look ahead. Here's to a more successful MTG career.
Cheers

It's Bowlin' Time
So Sunday was spent sleeping like a log for most of the day except for getting up to eat, drink, facebook and read the papers. Why can't the The Star be more like The Sun (UK) and don't suck? I need my gossips and news..not bloody BN taking half the paper.
Once night fell, its off to Summit for some bowling action....that is till some bowling group decided to book the whole thing and leave the scrappy lanes with a long waiting list. Bummer.
Oh well, Piramid Bowl next. Ack! It was a tad pricey but what can a man do? Bloody arses who took the Summit Bowl.
And let the games begin! 2 rounds. 4 men. And gawd do I suck bad. Need more practice....At least there is something to do on a Sunday night.
Cheers
